SUPPORTED COMMUNITY LIVING

Promotes skill building services that are unique and individualized to each participant. The goal of SCL is to equip those receiving services with tools and techniques to help gain and maintain greater independence in their homes and communities.

Some examples of participant driven goals include:
Cooking
Social Skills
Budgeting
Cleaning
Community Involvement
I like going to the games and talk to people. … I just call them and see if I need them to come over or something.  They're really good at letting people live independent. … I am satisfied because, without them, I would not be where I am today. … I am able to deal with certain things that don't go so well better than I used to. I do a lot more things around the house and I help out with cooking more often. [I am better at] asking some friends to spend time with me. … I think there is not anything I would change.
